Oxbow Animal Health has announced the recipients of its 2024 KINDSWELL Rescue Grants. The 2024 grants will provide more than $35,000 in funding and product donations to ten deserving organizations in support of a variety of projects and programs to benefit the welfare of small animals in need. Grant winners are chosen for excellence in the areas of educational outreach, public awareness, and project impact.

“Here at Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS), we are incredibly grateful to Oxbow Animal Health for their generous support through the 2024 Animal Rescue Grant! “We are thrilled to be recipients of the 2024 Oxbow Grant,” said Jenna Ross, the executive director of Fort Bend Wildlife Rescue. “This grant will help us create a classroom lab set designed to give elementary and middle school students hands on experience simulating the care that we provide wildlife without the use of animal ambassadors. These materials will allow us to offer education and outreach events and activities that promote the coexistence of humans and wildlife.”
“We at MN Pocket Pet Rescue are incredibly honored and grateful to be selected as a recipient of the 2024 Oxbow Rescue Grant. This generous grant will help us tremendously in covering the unexpected veterinary and well-being costs we faced after welcoming 22 adult rats and 21 rat babies into our care during the summer of 2024.
As a volunteer-run organization, every dollar counts. This grant ensures we can focus on their rehabilitation and eventual placement into loving homes without the overwhelming financial strain that typically accompanies such a large intake.
From all of us at MN Pocket Pet Rescue, including our many rescued rats, we extend our deepest thanks to Oxbow Animal Health for recognizing the importance of our work. With this help, we are able to give these little lives a second chance.”
“The DFW Wildlife Coalition Hotline thanks Oxbow Animal Rescue Grant for supporting our educational initiative to provide wildlife rehabilitators with professional wildlife courses from the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council,” said Prudence Koeninger, President of DFW Wildlife Coalition, Inc. “Every year, our hotline receives thousands of calls regarding wildlife encounters and emergencies, and the number of calls is increasing as our communities grow. We refer orphaned, sick, and injured animals to wildlife rehabilitators, many of whom are working with very few public donations. Our organization depends on donations and grants, and we are grateful for the opportunity to use these resources to provide valuable training to our local wildlife rehabilitators to help save more wildlife.”

Through our KINDSWELL Rescue Program and Rescue Grant Program, we help organizations that rescue, rehabilitate, and home small animals. We provide emergency and disaster relief. We donate free and discounted products. And we sponsor education, capital improvements, and operating expenses to support rescues on a limited budget. We do what we can to ensure that small pets receive the care they deserve and live happy, healthy lives.
