KINDSWELL (n): A groundswell of positivity triggered by acts of kindness.
Oxbow Animal Health is excited to announce the introduction of the KINDSWELL Initiative. KINDSWELL reflects Oxbow Animal Health’s commitment to making the world a better place for people and pets and builds upon the company’s foundation of giving back through long-running programs such as its animal rescue grants, event and emergency assistance, and academic scholarships. The KINDSWELL Initiative further builds upon this foundation by introducing a variety of community impact programs to benefit Oxbow team members and the communities in which they volunteer and live.
“At Oxbow, we’re committed to creating a better world,” said Deb Buhro, CEO. “The KINDSWELL Initiative is based on the belief that kindness inspires kindness, and even the smallest acts are powerful.”
At the heart of the KINDSWELL Initiative are programs designed to support the passions of employees who want to make a difference in the communities and world in which they live. KINDSWELL programs include Paid Volunteer Time Off, the KINDSWELL Volunteer Grant Program, and Fundraising Support. Through the Paid Volunteer Time Off Program, all Oxbow employees will be eligible to receive paid time off to volunteer at their organization of choice. The Volunteer Grant Program encourages employees who have volunteered at least 25 unpaid hours with a 501c3 Non-Profit to request a $500 grant for their organization. Through its Fundraising Support Program, Oxbow will donate $100 for every walk, run, or bicycle fundraiser that employees participate in.
“Our work has always been guided by a higher calling: to help people and pets live healthy, happy lives,” said Buhro. “Oxbow hires people who want to make a difference. Many of us share our time and resources to make our communities stronger, safer places for people and animals. We love our people, and we love to support their good work(s) in the community.”
