Oxbow Introduces New Look For Essentials Foods

Murdock, NE, May 9, 2016 -- Oxbow Animal Health, a leader in the innovative care and nutrition of small and exotic animals worldwide, has unveiled new packaging for its flagship Essentials line of fortified foods.  New package highlights include warm imagery that evokes the family farm setting, product specific color coding, updated feeding and transition charts, and an updated nutrition graphic detailing the components of the ideal small pet diet.  The new Essentials packages have begun to ship and will be arriving on shelves in the coming weeks.

Oxbow Announces “Comfort for All” Campaign to Benefit Rescues

Murdock, NE, May 6, 2016 -- Oxbow Animal Health, a leader in the innovative care and nutrition of small and exotic animals worldwide, has announced a call for nominations for its “Comfort for All” Campaign.  A portion of the proceeds from every bag of Pure Comfort bedding purchased from May 1 - June 30 will be donated to small animal rescues in need to support the purchase of comfort and care items such as bedding, enrichment accessories, and healthy treats.  Nominations are open to the public and can be made at www.oxbowanimalhealth.com/comfort.

Oxbow Animal Health Announces 2016 Scholarship Recipients

Murdock, NE, May 5, 2016 -- Oxbow Animal Health, a leader in the innovative care and nutrition of small and exotic animals worldwide, has announced the recipients of its 2016 Academic Scholarships.  The Oxbow Academic Scholarships award annual financial support to five outstanding students pursuing education in the exotic and companion animal veterinary fields.

Oxbow scholarship winners are chosen for interest and involvement in the field of exotic animal health, excellence in the areas of academic achievement, and expression of future career goals and interests. 

This year’s scholarship winners are:

    • Undergraduate Academic Scholarship

  • Melanie Howey - Bel-Rae Institute of Animal Technology (Denver, CO)

  • Amy McBirney - University of California: Davis (Davis, CA)

“I am so grateful, honored, and excited to be a recipient of the 2016 Oxbow Animal Health Veterinary Technician Scholarship,” said Madline Camerlengo, a student at the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  “This scholarship will help me to advance academically and pursue my goal of becoming a veterinarian technician that works with exotic animals.  I will always be appreciative of Oxbow Animal Health for their commitment to animal health and supporting veterinary technician students in their academic pursuits.”

“Since I can remember, I have been working towards my life-long pursuit of becoming a veterinarian,” said Amy McBirney, recipient of Oxbow’s 2016 Veterinary Medicine Scholarship.  “My education has been met with many challenges, but it has more importantly been filled with wonderful opportunities and blessings, such as the granting of this scholarship.  As I eagerly carry on with my first year of the veterinary program at UC Davis, I am all the more motivated to continue working towards my childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian so I can eventually serve my community throughout my career.  Thank you, Oxbow, for making this dream a possibility for me.”
